- 2 ½ c rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ c melted coconut oil
- ⅓ c maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- ⅔ c slivered almonds
- ⅓ c chocolate chips optional

Preheat oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Combine wet ingredients in a medium bowl.
Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until oats are completely coated.
Spread mixture onto baking sheet in an even layer and press down firmly with a spatula.
Bake for 25 minutes until golden, stirring and pressing down halfway.
Let cool completely before gently breaking into clusters (don’t skip this step—this is when the granola gets crispy!).
Mix in chocolate chips if using and enjoy!
