Vegan Basil Pesto
This easy basil pesto is vegan, gluten free, and every bit as tasty as traditional pesto. It comes together in just 5 minutes and is perfect for sauces, pasta, pizza, salads, and more!

- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- ¼ cups walnuts
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoon nutritional yeast
- ½ teaspoon sea salt

Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor and blend until combined and a paste forms.
Slowly drizzle in olive oil while the food processor is still running and pulse until incorporated.
Taste and adjust flavour as needed. Add more olive oil for a smoother pesto, nutritional yeast for an extra cheesy flavour, or nuts for a nuttier flavour.
