Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Energy Balls in bowl

I've been experimenting with a ton of energy ball/bliss ball flavours lately and these are definitely a personal favourite! They're loaded with good for you ingredients like dates, peanut butter, and oats, yet taste like CHEWY peanut butter cookie dough. Basically every cookie dough lover's dream come true! Plus, they take just minutes to prep and you probably already have all the required ingredients in your pantry. If you've been looking for a new healthy homemade snack that's both easy and delicious.... these peanut butter cookie dough energy balls are IT!

What makes these peanut butter energy balls so healthy?

Medjool dates - soft, gooey medjool dates are what you need for this recipe. They help create the lovely chewy texture in these bliss balls and provide a natural sweetness

Peanut butter - be sure to use natural, drippy peanut butter for this recipe! I always try to find nut butters with no added oils or sugars, or make my own at home. I love the taste of peanut butter in these energy balls, but you can substitute any creamy nut butter! Almond butter and cashew butter work great as well.

Rolled oats - rolled oats provide the best texture for these bliss balls. They also add a great fibre boost and are rich in Vitamin B1 and iron.

Ground Flaxseed - flaxseed adds extra nutrients and fibre to this energy ball recipe. You can also substitute chia seeds.

Date Syrup - feel free to substitute maple syrup or honey

Protein Powder - I love adding vanilla protein powder for an extra protein boost! It's totally optional and will not affect the texture of the recipe if you choose to omit. My favourite is Nuzest Clean Lean Vanilla Protein.

I make a lot of energy ball recipes...and this one is the best one I've ever made! The texture is P-E-R-F-E-C-T! I stored these in the fridge and they are so good eaten cold. I made it right when the recipe got out yesterday & I am making another batch today...gone like the wind in my household!
