These homemade vegan gummies are a fun, flavorful snack you’ll want to keep stocked in your fridge all week. Think childhood fruit snacks, but healthier and way more delicious!

If you grew up loving traditional gummy bears, fruit snacks, or anything chewy + sweet… you’re going to be obsessed with these Healthy Homemade Vegan Gummies. They’re made with just a handful of simple ingredients, are naturally sweetened and pack the perfect bright raspberry lemonade flavor.

They’re the kind of snack I love keeping in my fridge during busy weeks. I love having them post-workout, as an afternoon treat or when I want something sweet without a ton of added sugars!

The best part? These healthy vegan gummies take less than 20 minutes and only require a saucepan and silicone molds. No gelatin, no artificial colors, and no complicated steps.

If you love this recipe, you'll love my other healthy sweet treat recipes like Vegan Salted Caramel Slice, Vegan Thin Mints, and Ferrero Rocher Bliss Balls.

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

    • Vegan + gut-friendly: made with agar agar, they're a vegan alternative to regular gummies and are gelatin free!
    • Bright, fresh flavour: raspberry + lemon makes the most delicious gummy flavor combo!
    • Electrolyte boost: optional but adds flavour + minerals (perfect for athletes or long days).
    • Minimal ingredients: just simple, natural ingredients unlike most store-bought gummies!
    • Ready in minutes: the gummies set in under 15 minutes!
    • Kid-friendly AND adult-friendly: snackable, chewy, and sweet-tart.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Raspberry juice
    • Lemon juice
    • Agar-agar powder
    • Raspberry lemonade electrolytes (optional)
    • Maple syrup (or honey if not vegan

    See recipe card for quantities.

    How to Make Them

    1. Heat the liquid

Add the raspberry juice, lemon juice, and maple syrup to a small saucepan.
Warm over medium heat until the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Reduce to a low simmer.

    2. Stir in the agar agar + electrolytes

Whisk in the agar agar powder and electrolyte packets.
Continue whisking for about 5 minutes, or until everything fully dissolves.
(Agar needs heat to activate, so don’t skip this!)

    3. Pour into molds

Carefully transfer the mixture into silicone gummy molds.
Work quickly — agar sets faster than gelatin.

    4. Chill + enjoy

Place the molds in the fridge for 15 minutes to firm up.
Pop out your vegan gummy bears and enjoy!

Top Tips for Perfect Homemade Vegan Gummies

    • Use 100% raspberry juice (not a cocktail blend) for the best flavor and color.
    • Whisk constantly once the agar goes in to prevent clumping.
    • Work fast when filling the molds - agar starts setting as soon as it cools!
    • Adjust sweetness depending on your raspberries and lemon. Add up to 1-2 tablespoon maple syrup if you prefer sweeter gummies.
    • Use silicone gummy bear molds or silicone ice cube trays - they make removal so quick and easy!

    Raspberry Lemonade Gummy Variations

    • Orange citrus: swap raspberry juice for orange juice. You can also use different juices like apple juice or strawberry juice based on your desired flavor combination.
    • Immunity gummies: add a splash of ginger juice or a sprinkle of vitamin C powder.
    • Kid-friendly: skip electrolytes + reduce lemon juice slightly for a sweeter flavour.

    FAQs

    1. Can I use gelatin instead of agar agar?

Yes! But they won’t be vegan. Swap the agar for 1 tablespoon grass-fed gelatin and combine it in the juice mixture before heating.

    2. How long do homemade gummies last?

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. They store perfectly chewy and delicious!

    3. Can I use fresh raspberries instead of juice?

Absolutely! Blend raspberries with a splash of water and strain through a fine mesh sieve to create your own juice.
