These dark chocolate tahini oatmeal cookies are soft baked, loaded with gooey dark chocolate chips, and are sure to be your new family favourite cookie recipe! They're vegan, gluten-free, and come together in just 20 minutes!

    Dark Chocolate Tahini Cookies

If you haven't tried baking with tahini before, it provides a unique nutty flavour like nothing else! It also creates a smooth and chewy inside texture in these cookies. Not to mention tahini is also made from all natural sesame seeds and loaded with healthy fats! These healthier oatmeal cookies are made with simple, natural ingredients including tahini, rolled oats, and almond flour and are naturally sweetened with maple syrup. They're basically as healthy as a cookie can get, yet taste out of this world delicious!

TIPS TO MAKE THIS RECIPE PERFECTLY

Use good quality tahini - Soom Foods Tahini is my all time favourite and I have been using it for years! Using a good quality tahini is so important for this recipe since the tahini is the star of the show!

Let your cookies cool - As tempting as it is to dive in, be sure to let your cookies cool on the pan before serving. This gives them a chance to firm up and form that slight crisp on the outside.

Use a cookie scoop - For perfectly round and same shaped cookies, use a cookie scoop to scoop dough onto your baking pan.

These cookies are absolutely fantastic… I had to stop myself from eating them all! 😂 I recently made the shift towards plant-based and this was my first baking recipe. Chocolate chip cookies were a tall order, but these did not disappoint! On top of everything they were super easy to make! Thanks for making this so accessible…and delicious!
